Spokane Bible Church 2010 Fall Bible Conference is scheduled for October 17-20, 2010.
The keynote speaker for this year's conference is John R. Cross. John has written many books including The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus, By This Name, What Are Christmas and Easter All About?, and The Lamb. John Cross is part of Goodseed International. Born and raised in western Canada, John grew up in a home where the Bible was part of daily conversation. As a young man he dedicated his life to the Lord and sought training with New Tribes Mission. While in mission’s training in Ontario, he met his wife, Janice, who was also from a solid Christian background. Together they prepared themselves for working overseas. Upon completing four years of training, John taught Bible-Missions in the New Tribes Mission Candidate School. Subsequently they were instrumental in starting the New Tribes Mission short-term program and over the next 20 years saw 5000 short-termers serve overseas. In 1996 John took the years of experience gained in New Tribes Mission and wrote a book for those who know little or nothing about the Bible. Called “The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus” this book and its derivatives snowballed into a ministry of its own. John and Janice have travelled extensively and lived abroad in several countries, including ten years in Papua New Guinea. John has written and directed a number of award-winning videos, the best known being “EE-TAOW!” They have two adult children and three grandchildren. Also speaking at the Fall Bible Conference is Bret Nazworth the new CEO of Village Ministries International. Bret attended the New Tribes Mission Bible Institute and has spent many years as a missionary to tribes in Venezuela. He has participated in several conferences in Mexico, El Salvador and Bolivia training hundreds of pastors and missionaries. Recently he pastored the Harlingen Bible Church before returning to mission work. Bret arrives at Village Ministries International at a time when there is serious testing for all mission organizations. Other speakers include Christopher Katulca (Friends of Israel), Bruce Einspahr (Columbi8a Bible Church, Pasco, Washington), John Niemela (Message of Life Ministries, Orange, California), Hugh Crowder (Lakeland Bible Church, Federal Way, Washington), Mark Perkins (Front Range Bible Church, Denver, Colorado), and George Meisinger (Chafer Theological Seminary). There is no charge for this Bible conference which will be held at Spokane Bible Church, 9419 North Five Mile Road, Spokane, Washington. Everyone is welcome! If you are planning to attend you can let J.C. or Tod Kennedy know, although this is not necessary. No registration is required. Sunday Schedule
