BORN: March 29, 1951 in Fort Worth, Texas

EDUCATION: B.A. in Bible (major) & Greek (minor) from Howard Payne University, Brownwood, Texas, 1975. Th.M., 1981, Dallas Theological Seminary majoring in Historical Theology. Ph.D., 1995, Tyndale Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas in Systematic Theology (Eschatology specialty). Ph.D. candidate at the University of Wales in Church History.

MINISTRY: Campus Minister with Campus Crusade for Christ, 1975-77.

Reserve Military Chaplain in the Army National Guard, 1981-1990.

FAMILY: Married to Janice McCown, December 22, 1972, of Austin, Texas. They have three sons Daniel (27), Timothy (25), and David (21) and reside in Lynchburg, Virginia. Daniel and Timothy are graduates from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. Daniel is a programmer in Dallas, Texas. Timothy is a recent graduate (M.Div.) from Liberty Theological Seminary and is becoming a U. S. Army Chaplain. David is a recent graduate of Liberty University and a school teacher. All three boys are married.

Short Bio

Thomas Ice is Executive Director of The Pre-Trib Research Center in Lynchburg, Virginia, which he founded in 1994 with Dr. Tim LaHaye to research, teach, and defend the pretribulational rapture and related Bible prophecy doctrines. He is also an Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at Liberty University and Seminary. Ice has authored and co-authored about 30 books, written hundreds of articles, and is a frequent conference speaker. He has served as a pastor for 15 years. Dr. Ice has a B.A. from Howard Payne University, a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from Tyndale Theological Seminary, and is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Wales. He lives with his wife Janice in Lynchburg, Virginia.
